Year 4 and 5 Assembly

Mrs Pritchard led a wonderful assembly to the parents of children in year 4 and 5 today. The children showed the work they had been learning in Italian and in Music.

Well done to all the children who took part in the assembly and a big thanks to Mrs Pritchard for organising everything.

Paschal Candle

Year Five were very lucky today to have had Chris Davis from Southampton City Mission come in and spend the whole day with us. We learned about the meaning of Easter to Christians and all about the Paschal Candle.

The last part of the day was spent making our own Paschal Candles.

Year 2 and 3 Music Assembly

Year 2 started to learn the recorder in September and are doing very well indeed! Here is a video clip of one of their performances.

Year 3 have been learning Italian! They are getting very good! Here is a clip of them performing an Italian rap.

Comic Relief 2011

Red Nose Day has been great fun at Moorlands.
We raised a massive £405.83 for Comic Relief.

Animal Hide

Students from City College started digging the foundations for our animal hide today.

We will keep you posted on progress.

A total mystery!

When we came in to the school yesterday, we had a real surprise! An enormous elephant had appeared outside Blue base and nobody knew how he got there!

We enjoyed making models of Elmer, oil pastel drawings and writing songs about our new friend. We hope he can stay at Moorlands!
