Year Five visited the University of Southampton this morning.

They were given a mini lecture on Ancient Greek Archaeology and were also told about the life of a University student.

At the end of the session the children were shown some Ancient Greek artefacts that had been found and now belong to the University.

Thank you very much to all at the University who made the visit fun and enjoyable for all the children.

Longdown Activity Farm Year R trip!

During our farm topic, Bluebirds visited Longdown Activity Farm. We had a lovely day! Take a look at some of our photos.

For Ladybird's 'Our World' topic we have been learning about France! We have learnt some French, drawn the Eiffel Tower and painted a picture of a traditional onion seller. We enjoyed tasting some traditional croissants and pain du chocolat on Friday afternoon!

Afternoon tea anyone????

In Ladybirds we have been learning about different countries, including foods that they may be famous for. For our study on the UK, we enjoyed an afternoon tea! We had cheese and cucumber sandwiches, scones with jam rounded off with a nice cup of tea! A perfect start to the Royal Wedding Celebrations.

The Hide

Yesterday, our brand new animal hide was delivered and built.

We are looking forward to using this great resource and observing the various wildlife that live on our grounds.

Year 3 Trip to Fishbourne

On 24th March the year 3 class visited Fishbourne Roman Palace as part of the work they have been doing with Romans.

Saints Foundation

Over the last few weeks year five have been working with the Saints Foundation to learn about water. They looked at where water comes from, the water cycle, how water is treated and cared for and how to save water. During the last session, they played a game of bench ball led by Matt Alford from the Saints Foundation. The children have really enjoyed these sessions and one lucky child also won two tickets to the last Saints match of the season. A big thank you to Matt for working with the children and making the topic meaningful and enjoyable.
