Moorlands 40th Anniversary

Over the last week we have been celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Moorlands Primary School by learning about the 70's (when the school was opened).
All classes learned about life in the 70's from popular music, fashion and famous faces to how toys have changed to inflation. Year 1 even had a go at tie dyeing!

We all dressed up in red (for ruby anniversary) or 70's clothes on Friday for our 40th Birthday Assembly.

We even had a birthday cake and a fairy cake each thanks to Racheal.

Y4 Clarinet and Y6 Cello concert

Well done to Year 4 who have worked very hard this year learning the clarinet. Parents, Ladybirds and Dragonflies were invited to watch this lovely concert. Well done to the Year 6 cellists who also performed.

Chi vuole Italiano?!

Mmmmmm.....Italiano! We really enjoyed our Italian food tasting- we tried 3 different types of pasta- tomato, cheesy and pesto! We even tried mozarella cheese. This was definately one of our favourite tasting sessions, we left nothing!

Curry anyone...???

As part of 'Our World' topic, we have been learning all about India. We really enjoyed finding out about this amazing country. We have done Indian dancing, Indian art work and rounded off our work with a very tasty curry! Although some of us didn't like it, we were all brave and tried it!

The Summer Fayre 2011

We had another fantastic and successful Summer Fayre on July 1st, raising an amazing £838! Many thanks for all those who supported the fayre and all the helpers involved. Well done Moorlands!
