Apple and blackberry crumble

As part of the English work on instruction writing, the children in Ladybirds looked at recipes. They decided to make their own crumble from blackberries in the school grounds. The children watched a video and read recipes before they then prepared and cooked their own crumble.  They had to write their own recipe afterwards.

I have never been blackberry picking before, its great fun.

It was so exciting picking our blackberries in the woods at school.

I followed the instructions and my crumble is so so tasty

I learnt how to use scales to weigh the ingredients.

I’m going to make a crumble at home.

This is better than my nans crumble!

We even got to wash up in the kitchen.

Year 3 and 4  great fun at a drumming workshop this week. We used chairs as drums and learnt to play different rhythms using drumsticks. We put our routines to some great music! More photos to be added later.

Autumn Music Sketches

As part of Ground's Week, Year 5 sketched Autumn pictures based around one of Antonio Vivaldi's Concertos for violin - "Autumn" from the Four Seasons, with Mrs Pritchard. We listened to the beautiful piece of music and drew our pictures.  Here are some of our pictures.
